Simple Mixed Sauce

A delightful blend of flavors that can be poured over rice, vegetables, or noodles. With customizable ingredients and a variety of garnishes, it's a versatile recipe that lets you create a dish tailored to your taste. Enhance your meals and indulge in the deliciousness of Simple Mixed Sauce!

Ingredients:

  • Cucumber strips

  • Purple cabbage

  • Shredded carrots

  • Seaweed strips

  • Half a chicken egg (with or without)

 

Seasonings:

  • Sufficient amount of cooking oil

  • Mixed sauce 250 g (Vegetarian)

  • Sugar 50 g

  • MSG 15 g

  • Garlic 25 g (with or without)

  • Chopped shiitake mushrooms 100 g

  • Chopped oyster mushrooms 150 g

  • Water sufficient amount

  • Cornstarch 20 g

  • Crispy vegetarian meat crumbles 150 grams

Preparation:

  • Finely chop the garlic.

  • Chop the shiitake mushrooms and oyster mushrooms and set aside.

  • Making the crispy vegetarian meat crumbles

 

Heat a sufficient amount of cooking oil in a hot pan to about 180°C.

Add the vegetarian meat crumbles and fry until golden and crispy. Remove and drain the oil. Set aside.

 

Making the mixed sauce:

Heat a sufficient amount of cooking oil in another pan.

Add the chopped garlic and sauté over medium heat until fragrant.

Add the mixed sauce and stir-fry for a moment to release the aroma.

Add the chopped shiitake mushrooms and oyster mushrooms, continue stir-frying for a few minutes until softened.

Add sugar and MSG, stir well to ensure even distribution of the seasonings.

Add water and stir well. Adjust the heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes to allow the flavours to blend.

Making the cornstarch slurry:

Mix the cornstarch with a sufficient amount of water, stirring well to ensure there are no lumps.

 

Final steps:

Slowly pour the cornstarch slurry into the simmering mixed sauce, stirring continuously to prevent lumps from forming. Continue simmering for a few minutes until the sauce thickens, ensuring that the cornstarch is fully cooked.

 

Plating:

Pour the cooked mixed sauce over rice, vegetables, or noodles. Garnish with cucumber strips, shredded carrots, purple cabbage, seaweed strips, and crispy vegetarian meat crumbles. Enjoy!
